On the 25th anniversary of the launch of their debut album, Wisconsin Dying Journey, Static-X have unveiled the first trailer for the new documentary, Evil Disco: The Rise, Fall and Regeneration of Static-X.

Along with that includes the band’s surviving basic members (guitarist Koichi Fukuda, bassist Tony Campos and drummer Ken Jay) in addition to current recordings of Wayne Static, the documentary options a number of of the band’s friends.

Dave Navarro (Jane’s Habit), Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed), Edsel Dope (Dope, supervisor/producer), Meegs Rascón (Coal Chamber), Dino Cazares (Worry Manufacturing facility), John 5 (Motley Crue), Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust) all star in the trailer. Collectively, they recollect the band’s early platinum-certified success, the tragic lack of Wayne and, later, his spouse Tera Wray, via the band’s spectacular comeback with nameless frontman Xer0.

“To me, Wisconsin Dying Journey is that period’s The Wall [by Pink Floyd],” Navarro asserts, talking to the significance of Static-X’s late ’90s and early ’00s rise. It is adopted by an audio recording of Wayne saying he cannot consider a million folks purchased a replica of his band’s album.

“These two had been residing on this Bonnie and Clyde suicide drug-crazed cinematic romance,” Dope says of Wayne and Tera Wray’s relationship, talking to the “fall” component of the documentary title.

Having witnessed Static-X’s regeneration first hand on the Machine Killer tour with Sevendust, Witherspoon asserts, “Watching these guys come again has been unbelievable.”
