Rising up in Baltimore, Al-Sabir took affect from indie weirdos who hailed from that metropolis, like Animal Collective and Dan Deacon. He attended the celebrated Baltimore College for the Arts highschool; its most notable alumni embody Tupac and Jada Pinkett Smith.
