1916 was recognized even to troopers of the Nice Conflict as “The 12 months of Battles”, and the most important of the battles fought on the Western entrance throughout WW1 was The Battle of the Somme. Over 4.5 months from summer time to autumn, greater than three million males fought within the battle and over one million had been killed or wounded. And what did it obtain?
