Bass Journal not too long ago caught up with Tool bassist Justin Chancellor to see how he has been spending his downtime in the course of the ongoing COVID-19 downtime. Along with gardening, understanding and listening to Gojira, amongst others, he went on to disclose that he has been engaged on a variety of tasks.

“I’m engaged on tracks for a second M.T.Void album/EP with Peter Mohamed, who’s in Poland. It seems to be like it is going to have some cool visitor contributions. I’ve been including bass strains to a venture headed by Canadian director Jimmy Hayward, in addition to bouncing some concepts round with BauhausPeter Murphy.

After collaborating in a Berklee Bass Division webinar not too long ago, I’ve been invited to contribute to Steve Bailey and Victor Wooten’s upcoming Bass Extremes report. And final, however not least, I’ve written some fascinating riffs which shall be reserved for Tool!”
