Joe Satriani has been on a roll currently so far as telling us all about his musical low factors. 

Final month the electrical guitar participant revealed the one solo he regretted writing and recording, and now Satch has named his least favourite of all his albums.

“My first EP [Joe Satriani], again in ’84,” he tells Traditional Rock in a brand new interview. “No bass, drums, keyboards. Simply guitar, wrapping the pickups in foil and tapping them with an Allen wrench to get kick drum sounds.

“A number of the music’s candy, and I love that it was avant-garde, however I have no idea why I thought people would want to hear that!”

As for his greatest album? The just-released-this-month Shapeshifting, in fact.

“Because the reminiscence of recording Shapeshifting fades, I can hear it as a listener, not a musician on the within searching,” he explains.

“I’m figuring out all of the elements for the tour and stunning myself with all of the issues we did. I’m very excited concerning the number of music and guitar types.”

When it comes to his favourite non-Satch album, in the meantime, Joe nods to one among his largest influences, Jimi Hendrix.

“Electrical Ladyland, for the breadth of the fabric, for a way groundbreaking it was,” he says.
