Over the years, lots of you readers and viewers have requested to see extra kitchens in the properties featured in our video collection, so I’m delighted to announce we’ve created a complete new sub-series, At Home in the Kitchen, specializing in the trendy kitchens of designers and tastemakers incorporating design recommendation and a few cooking/baking as properly! We’re excited to kick all of it off with John Kanell, creator of Preppy Kitchen, the über standard meals weblog and YouTube cooking and baking sensation.
Rising up in Los Angeles, John discovered fixed inspiration in the kitchen, watching, serving to and studying from his mom, who made each meal from scratch. After finishing a level in tremendous arts at UCLA, adopted by a decade of instructing center faculty math and science in LA, John determined to comply with his lifelong ardour and Preppy Kitchen was born. John, his husband Brian and twin sons Lachlan and George, just lately made the huge transfer east to Connecticut the place they’re now having fun with New England life whereas they renovate their new residence.
After assembly Susanna at an area guide signing for At Home with Canines and Their Designers, the two instantly bonded and John enlisted her assist in adorning their eating room. And when the redo of his spectacular studio kitchen was completed, we knew John was the good topic to debut our new collection!!
From recommendations on group and storage (in addition to a take a look at his beautiful new Lacanche vary, above) to watching John expertly adorn the most decadent cake that’s stunning inside and outside (and as scrumptious – belief me!), you’ll learn and impressed!
