Steel guitar icon Alexi Laiho’s cause of death has been revealed.
Based on Kimberly Goss – Laiho’s former Sinergy bandmate and authorized spouse on the time of his death – the previous Kids of Bodom frontman died because of “alcohol-induced degeneration of the liver and pancreas connective tissue.”
She continues: “Futhermore, he had a cocktail of painkillers, opioids and insomnia treatment in his system.”
“The loss of this terribly proficient and exquisite soul is a tragedy that was solely preventable,” Goss wrote in tribute to the late guitarist. “He had so many good years left in him. Think about all of the superb music we may nonetheless be getting if he had simply accepted assist.
“I plead with anybody who’s scuffling with alcoholism or another substance abuse drawback, to please search assist. You wouldn’t have to fulfill this similar destiny.
